Efficient remote PC performance testing and monitoring

Testdriver Cloud Edition increases systems visibility and IT efficiency

Increase systems visibility and IT efficiency

Gain visibility into your entire systems environment and take control of endpoint performance management with proactive testing and monitoring. Automate manual testing of individual systems to improve efficiency, so you can focus on identifying issues and optimizing performance instead of spending time testing devices programmatically.

Testdriver Cloud Edition saves time and money

Save time and money

Add hours to your work week by automating rote testing. With centrally managed remote testing and monitoring, you can standardize hardware performance benchmarking in your organization. Not only can you easily generate reports for performance data visualization, you can also minimize device costs and improve customer satisfaction by avoiding over- or under-provisioning.

See what our customers say

"We think what UL Solutions does is extremely important to what we need to do from our end. For example, from a laptop purchasing standpoint, everything is in play for us right now. The PC performance metrics from Testdriver help us make standardized laptop purchasing decisions as one global firm. I like the comparison of benchmark runs and setting the baseline, these are great features."

Member of the Desktop Engineering team at a Big Four accounting firm

"Testdriver has automated a lot of things and made our lives easier for the benchmarking part. It is really good because it has all the PC performance data stored in one place for years and years so we can compare against the baseline. The overall UI is really good and simple to use."

Which benchmarks can I run?

CPU Health Test

The CPU Health Test is a fast, 20-second benchmark that measures CPU performance. The CPU Health Test measures and monitors PC performance daily to help you identify failing hardware and take steps to reduce downtime.

  • Rapid CPU testing without affecting end-user device performance.
  • Test and monitor processor performance against expected baselines.
  • Compatible with Windows PCs and Apple Mac computers.

Storage Health Test

The Storage Health Test provides a quick way to measure storage performance for easy monitoring and troubleshooting. The Storage Health Test helps you identify storage performance issues and take steps to avoid data and productivity loss.

  • Test storage performance regularly without interrupting end-user productivity.
  • Test and monitor storage performance for early signs of failure.
  • Compatible with Windows PCs and Apple Mac computers.

UL Procyon

The UL Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark uses Microsoft Office apps to measure PC performance for office productivity work. The benchmark features relevant, real-world tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Recommended benchmark for evaluating PCs for office productivity work.
  • Test and compare performance before and after OS image updates and other system changes.
  • Compatible with Windows PCs. Apple Mac version coming soon.

PCMark 10

PCMark 10 is industry-standard PC benchmarking software that measures system performance with tests based on real-world applications and activities that cover the wide variety of tasks performed in the modern workplace.

  • Test and compare PC performance for a range of real-world needs throughout the PC life cycle.
  • Good to run when there is a constant decline in CPU Health Test scores.
  • Compatible with Windows PCs.

Test endpoints remotely

Run tests

Get started with easy installation on the endpoint systems that you want to test and monitor. You can categorize computers into different function or region groups for easy and flexible user group management. You can also filter and select devices to test by computer names and user-defined labels.

Schedule tests

Create schedules for remote automatic periodic testing by frequency, time zone and group. Set the run frequency to daily, weekly or monthly at a time and time zone that is convenient for you and your users. With drag-and-drop functionality, you can easily add computers to existing schedules or create new schedules.

Monitor results against baselines

Set baselines

Define baselines for each computer that you would like to test and monitor. Setting baselines is especially helpful for internal PC certifications, new hardware validation and IT standardization. With the Edit Baseline function, you can set a baseline by entering your expected scores for PCMark 10 performance benchmarks, the CPU Health Test and the Storage Health Test. You can select one, multiple, or all computers for bulk baseline editing.

Track organizational health

The Organization Health function compares benchmarking results against your user-defined baselines. In the Overview tab, you have visibility into your entire systems environment at a glance. You can monitor the percentage of computers that meet the baseline performance for each benchmark. You can also click on an individual computer to drill down into details to monitor test results and changes over time in a helpful trendline chart.

Report and compare results

Check and export historical results

The Run Results function groups benchmarking results by run name or schedule name in chronological order for easy viewing of test results. You can filter the results by test to check the results from a specific benchmark. Select one or more test results to export in PDF format for further endpoint performance analysis.

Compare runs

Search and compare historical test results with the latest results. Select two different runs to compare results and differences. The comparison shows the score of each run and the percentage difference in the overall score for each computer included in the runs. The Compare Two Runs function makes evaluating image and software updates on a select set of systems easy.
