Datang Mobile Shanghai Reaches Joint Partnership with Futuremark Corporation

Futuremark works together with Datang Mobile Shanghai to facilitate TD-SCDMA terminal industry development



Shanghai – November 27, 2007 – Futuremark Corporation, the handheld industry's leading provider of performance analysis software and services, announced today a long-term partnership for a Benchmark Testing Development Program with Shanghai Datang Mobile Communications Equipment Co., Ltd (Datang Mobile). Futuremark will provide its full collection of current and in-development handheld testing tools to Datang Mobile according to Futuremark’s standard licensing terms, and Datang Mobile will be given access to Futuremark's Benchmark Development Program (BDP) membership benefits. Meanwhile, Futuremark will join the Arena Group as a platinum member and work with Datang Mobile to promote TD-SCDMA terminal industry development.

Datang Mobile, the core member of Datang Telecom Technology and Industry Group, is the technology provider of TD-SCDMA. This partnership with Futuremark is aimed at providing industry leading TD-SCDMA mobile solutions, reference design modules, and professional testing services for equipment manufacturers. Consequently, this partnership will strengthen the performance and quality of TD-SCDMA terminals.

This agreement extends Futuremark Corporation’s business development in the extensive China market and continues to present its benchmarking tools as standards in the handheld industry. By partnering with the Datang Mobile, and becoming a platinum member of the Arena Group, Futuremark will increase cooperation and communication with the China communication industry players. Futuremark Corporation's testing tools will continue to garner more attention from mobile terminal manufacturers focused on the China market. As part of the long-term intent of the agreement, Futuremark will license all current handheld testing tools including 3DMarkMobile ES 1.1, 3DMarkMobile ES 2.0, SimulationMark ES 2.0, VGMark 1.0, SPMarkJava JSR 184 and SPMark for Symbian OS v9 to Datang Mobile, as well as tools which are either in development today or on Futuremark’s forward-looking product roadmap.
