Futuremark announces "Life of a Benchmarker" video contest
Futuremark celebrates 10 years of 3DMark with video contest sponsored by MSI and Enermax
San Jose, California - Dec 10, 2008 - Futuremark® Corporation is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its 3DMark® benchmark suite with a video contest for gamers and overclockers everywhere. Fans of the popular benchmarking program are invited to show the "Life of a Benchmarker" in an original video with great prizes awarded to the best entries.
"Were launching this contest as a thank you to all our fans who have helped 3DMark become the number one PC gaming benchmark," said Dr. Jukka Mäkinen, VP and General Manager at Futuremark.
The "Life of a Benchmarker" video contest celebrates the world of benchmarking and overclocking. Contestants are asked to create a video illustrating what benchmarking means to them. For example, they could record 3DMark running on their systems, or show what happens when benchmarking is taken to the extreme.
Top prizes will be awarded to contestants who impress the judges with their originality; prizes include an HDTV, MSI Eclipse motherboards, MSI R4870 graphics cards, Enermax Revolution85+ power supplies and special 3DMark 10 Year Anniversary Collectors Edition bundles.
More information on the contest can be found on the Futuremark website: http://www.futuremark.com/community/competitions/10yearanniversary/introduction/
