Easy PC health monitoring for IT professionals
December 3, 2020
Today we're adding a new CPU Health Test to Testdriver Cloud Edition, a cloud-based benchmark automation platform from UL.
CPU Health Test is a fast, 20-second test that measures CPU performance. With Testdriver automation, IT professionals can run the CPU Health Test on an unlimited number of PCs on a daily basis without interrupting employees’ work.
The CPU Health Test produces a health rating for each system. By monitoring CPU health across an organization, IT managers can identify failing hardware and take steps to avoid costly downtime.
The easy way to measure CPU health in enterprise organizations
UL developed the CPU Health Test after customers asked for a way to run daily PC performance checks without interrupting employees’ work. Running a comprehensive benchmark suite can take 30 minutes or more, during which the user is unable to use the PC.
The CPU Health Test is a fast, lightweight test that measures CPU performance. It runs unobtrusively in the background without interrupting the user. In fact, the whole test takes only 20 seconds.
With the CPU Health Test and Testdriver automation, it's easy to proactively manage PC performance at scale. You can schedule recurring CPU Heath Test runs on an unlimited number of PCs with complete control over frequency and timing. You can also run the test manually to troubleshoot PC performance when needed.

Monitor CPU health for early signs of hardware failure
The CPU Health Test measures CPU performance with single- and multi-threaded workloads and clock speed checks. It produces a score for easy reporting.
You can set a performance baseline for each system by entering a target CPU Health Test score. Comparing the test score against the baseline produces a CPU health rating, expressed as a percentage. By testing and monitoring CPU health regularly, you can identify failing hardware and take steps to avoid costly downtime.
Monitor PC health across your organization for early signs of failing hardware.
Testdriver Cloud Edition collects and stores your CPU Health Test results automatically. Built-in reporting tools help you monitor CPU performance over time.
A steady decline in CPU Health Test scores can indicate failing hardware. It can also be a sign of a CPU load issue. For example, an application that is generating excess CPU load and causing perceptible slowness.
A system’s health rating and trendline help you identify underperforming systems.
